The best way to "control" a crack on your cymbal is to drill a small hole at the exact end point of the crack. It is important to find that ending point because if you drill before it then the chances of the cymbal crack continuing are very good. Depending on if the crack is at the edge or located where you see it on this cymbal will determine if you need to clean the edges of the crack. You can also take a dremmal tool and grind out a small section of cymbal to keep the pressure off of the split. The cymbal should probably be put on light duty to keep it from being tossed on the garbage!. I have heard of people cutting a cymbal down or cutting shapes into it to keep it and make a trashy affects cymbal with it.
